Watching mould spreading
Its cancerous threads eat my books My Cd’s are next then my DVDs Alien forms somehow taking holdResistance is futile; it’s coming to get youMy nightmare the mould enters my bodyCrawls in my ear and eats up my brain
The words I had there are all mouldy now
Reduced to odorous sludge
Exterminate, exterminate
I’m breaking down. Breaking……
Where am I what am I
is consciousness itself so many complex processes
To be broken down by mould eating up organic matter
Feeding on brain tissue in a relentless search for survival
Eats up my brain extinguishing thought
Mould the destroyer the converter the decomposer
decomposing not writing always breaking down
Breaking down my brain turning my thoughts to blackened gunge

Did you actually have a nightmare like that or is it all metaphorical?
It was a nightmare but it could also be a metaphor. I heard a news story that some types of mould can enter the body. Living in a sub-tropical environment here there is a constant battle against mould and damp. Pretty scary.

I like how you have these
“Crawls in my ear and eats up my brain
The words I had there are all mouldy now”
strung together. It made me laugh with a rush of logic to my brain.
Hi Melly
Always happy to cause a rush of logic to anyones brain.
I had a look at your blog and found we have something in common. We both shaved our head recently but mines grown back a bit. I have to say that your shaved head looks very nice indeed and suits you. It’s good to try different things when you get the chance and when you are a student that is the best time. Good luck with your studies and have fun.
Made me smile

Hello again David, I’ve read some work from your site and not only do we both have shaved heads in common but we also have another thing in common and that is poetry. It’s really nice to know that you write poetry as well. I will be coming back for more. I’ve read Lucy the Girl in the Window. Really love it!
Many thanks Melly it is nice to know that we have a love of writing poetry in common too. My favourite poem is ‘Lost One Night’ because it can be read in any direction and has a lot of symbolism in it.
I am reading your poetry. Some of your poems are very delicate and tender with some beautiful imagery and some are very heart rending, raw, harsh, bleak, haunting, and uncomfortable (broken glass). I like your range of expression and style. Really good thought provoking work.
Take care and thanks for your comments.
